If you wish to stand then you must complete the relevant nomination pack.

Your completed nomination pack must be returned by hand to the returning officer at the Winchester City Council offices in Colebrook Street (SO23 9LJ).

This can be done weekdays from 10am - 4pm between Tuesday 22nd March and Tuesday 5th April 2022. Forms received after this deadline will not be accepted.

You are recommended to book an appointment with the WCC Elections Team so that they can carry out an informal check before submission (see contact details above).

Parish Office delivery of forms for checking and submission (Parish Council candidates only)

To assist those wishing to stand as a Parish Councillor, our Parish Clerk will be attending the City Council offices on 22nd March 2022 to take in any completed forms for an informal check and submission.

You do not have to use this service and can take your form in directly if you wish.

However, if you do wish to use this service then the completed nomination pack must be received at the Parish Office by 3pm on the 21st March 2022. These must be in a paper format; electronic forms will not be accepted.

Please note - The Parish Office letterbox is located directly adjacent to the main front doors to Lionel Tubbs Hall & Kings Worthy Community Centre, Fraser Road, Kings Worthy, Winchester, SO23 7PJ.

Any nomination forms received after that time will not be delivered by us to the Elections Team and you must book your own appointment.

Please can you ensure that you include contact details (preferably an email address) with your form. This will allow us to contact you regarding your form and will only used for the purpose of contacting you regarding your form.

Following the informal check, if any errors are found with your form then you will notified on the 22nd March. It will be your responsibility to correct any errors and book another appointment to have your form checked and submitted. This must be done before 4pm on the 5th April.

The Parish Office will confirm if your form has been accepted but the forms will be subject to formal checks. The WCC Elections Teams will contact you directly once these are complete.

If you are not notified that your form has been submitted on 22nd March then please contact either the WCC Electoral Team or Parish Office to check.

Note: This service is purely to assist with the delivery of forms and we are not acting as an election agent for any candidate.

Whilst this form can be repetitive, please ensure you fill out the required boxes in full and do not use ditto marks.

If you are completing part 2 of the home address form to prevent your address being printed on the ballot papers, please include Winchester under 'relevant area'.

Ensure that all relevant pages are submitted including any relevant guidance pages.
